Human relations and interactions are fast becoming too complicated due to the advent of modern technological innovations. Adaptation rather than resistance, assimilation instead of segregation ensures a future deeply embedded in the past.

This scenario was the driving force why the PLM College of Law tapped the benefits of the worldwide web and avail ourselves of greater connectivity that promotes inclusiveness, solidarity, and productive contact in and out of the academic community thereby ensuring relevant and productive learning experience for the achievement of the highest excellence in the study of law.

However, this is without compromising the moral standards, values and principles that our institution stands for all the time. Oneness despite the many challenges guided by the mantra of LEX AD BONUM PUBLICUM (Law for the Public Interest).

The proliferation and pervasive problem of sexual exploitation of children is, sadly, not a new occurrence. What has changed are the ways in which these offenses were committed and the medium that facilitates these types of abuses. Technological advancement paved the way for the offenders to conveniently access vulnerable minors - taking advantage of the community quarantine and the current health crisis to exploit the Filipino youth.

With this in mind, the PLM Law Center, in partnership with Rotary Club of Ermita Manila, organized a Webinar entitled “SEXTING: Online Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of Children” which will be held on November 29, 2021 at 2:00 P.M., via Zoom. The primary purpose of which is to raise awareness and educate the community on the salient points and recent jurisprudence relative thereto.

The Webinar via Zoom is free and can accommodate audience of 500 participants. Kindly register through for a Free E-Certificate which shall be issued once available.
